The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Service Technician’s Assistant on behalf of one of our employer partners. This position requires a good, positive attitude and clear communication with our clients on the field.

Job Summary:

• Assist with leak detection service indoors and outdoors on private, residential, commercial, and municipal property.
• Perform repair work, which may include concrete removal, concrete pouring, digging, power tools, jackhammers, concrete saw, and carrying buckets of concrete.
• Clean, organize and Toronto maintain all company tools, vehicles, and equipment
• Complete, organize, maintain and submit complete invoices and pertinent paperwork
• Assist other technicians when called upon
• Assist with other duties as needed

Responsibilities:

This is an entry-level position.  You will be assisting other technicians to carry out leak detection & repair.  You will assist with leak detection and repair services for concealed leaks behind walls, concrete slabs, asphalt, basements, landscaping, irrigation systems, radiant heat systems, swimming pools, and spas.  It may also involve electronic line tracing for water, sewer, and septic lines.  All our leak detection is done above ground and various forms of electronic equipment are used on each job as required.

• Attention to detail and care for the property
• Ability to take instruction and learn repetitive tasks
• Excellent communication, strong customer service, and honesty are required.

Requirements:

• Fluent English
• Valid Driver’s license (asset)
• Ability to swim (not mandatory)
• Position may require working nights/weekends or overtime
• The use of hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs
• High School Diploma
• Minimum 6 months of related experience
