The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Summer Camp Recreational Support Worker on behalf of one of our employer partners.

Job Summary:

The employer partner is actively looking for Summer Camp, Full-Time Recreational Support Workers (RSW) to work within the employer partner’s Community Outreach programs. As a RSW, you would be providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

This is a great opportunity for University/College students looking for Full-Time employment, with an opportunity for extensions and growth within the agency.

Please note there may be a possibility for the role to get extend Part Time during the year (subject to change).

Responsibilities:

• Assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in meeting their needs of daily living
• Design and implement recreational based activities
• Reinforce social and life skills
• Participate in mandatory meetings and training

 Requirements:

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years and older.
• Possession of a valid G license preferred, but not mandatory.
• Comfortable with driving Reena’s van for transportation purposes (if applicable)
• Background related to child care, education, social work, psychology, social services, child and youth worker
• Self-motivated and willing to learn
• Flexible and adaptive to change
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Creativity, patience, and a passion for working with children and youth.
